After my friends finished the bourbon trail and got our t-shirts, we decided to start visiting some craft bourbon distilleries. We had seen some of the biggest and best bourbon distilleries, so why not check out the smaller ones. Plus get to hang out with cool people and enjoy a beautiful day.
One of the places we visited was the Wilderness Trail Distillery. This was a beautiful small place that seems to focus on the science of distilling bourbon. Being very precise of how they distill and filter the sour mash and prep for the barrel.
When we visited sadly they did not have bourbon of age, so we were not able to taste it while there. Instead enjoying some vodka and tequila that they were offering. I have since enjoyed many a glass of Wilderness Trail Bourbon and is definitely worth picking up at some point if you love bourbon.
Hope everyone enjoys the pictures.
