Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe-shaped incised meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States.

Horseshoe Bend is located 5 miles (8.0 km) downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Page.

It is accessible via hiking a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) round trip from U.S. Route 89, but an access road also reaches the geological structure, as it is part of a state park. Horseshoe Bend can be viewed from the steep cliff above.

This was one of the top places I wanted to see when I visited Arizona. Seeing pictures of this place for years I just knew I had to stop in for a bit.

Those who know me know I hate heights. While I try to never let that stop me from doing things I want to do. But to be honest with everyone that 1000 foot drop is insane. The views are amazing but it truly gets to you looking down and I mean way down to see the river below you. But even with all the irrational fear I had, it was completely worth it. The view is beautiful and this was definitely not a type of place you can visit too often. So when opportunity strikes you have to take it. If you are ever in the vicinity I suggest stopping by.

Hope everyone likes the pictures.
